I recently placed an order and it hasn't shipped. When will it ship?

We do our best to get all IN STOCK orders out within 1 business day of the day you place your order, but as noted on our website during the checkout process when you selected the shipping method, sometimes that isn't possible. 

Here's what our website says under the link "IMPORTANT: When will I get my order?" when you select your shipping method:

Because of the specialty nature of our products, many items we sell, even if in stock, require careful hand-assembly for your exact model BMW, adding a little extra time before your order can ship. But we think our products are worth the wait, and we're sure you will, too!

Usually, in stock purchases will ship within 1-3 business days from the time of purchase REGARDLESS OF SHIPPING METHOD CHOSEN. (For example, if you select Overnight shipping, your order will arrive in 1-3 + 1 business days, so 1-4 business days). However, in extremely rare cases, if overall order volume is very high and/or your order is large or complex to assemble, it may take slightly longer for your purchase to ship.

If you need your order by a specific date, we STRONGLY encourange you to call to place your order as we are unable to guarantee a specific delivery date unless confirmed by phone.

In all cases, you'll receive a tracking number via email when your order ships, so you can plan for its arrival!  If it has been AT LEAST 3 business days and you have logged into your account to check the status of your order and your order has not yet shipped, please feel free to contact us so that we can give you an update regarding your order.

If an item or items you purchased are on backorder, we are unfortunately unable to give an estimate for when your order will ship.  Here's why:

As a result of the recent recession, there has been massive fallout in the the car audio industry.  Many of the factories in Asia that produced the products and parts used by many car audio companies took huge losses (and some went under) as a result of American companies placing orders for large quantities with only a small percentage deposit (10%) up front, with the rest to be paid on delivery.  When these American companies went belly up, the Asian companies that had laid out all the capital for raw parts were stuck with unusable inventory and no money.

What this resulted in was a very big shift in how these Asian manufacturers do business.  Now, they require that the product be paid for entirely in advance, and they prioritize very high volume producers.  For BSW, this has resulted in two consequences:

1. We have to use far more capital (money) to get the same volume of products produced.
2. Even when we have already paid for product, we often get "bumped" back in the production line because our products are vehicle specific and therefore produced in small quantities.

The end result is that while demand for our products continues to rise and we are still growing, getting the inventories we need to fill rising demand is very difficult due to higher capital requirements.  Furthermore, estimates we receive about when we'll get product are often inaccurate due getting "bumped" in the production line as described above.

We have recently received a very large influx of operating capital to help resolve these issues, and we are putting those funds to use to purchase in larger quantities so that vendors produce on demand for us -- and to keep more inventory in stock to keep up with the growing demand we're experiencing.  Unfortunately, we aren't yet seeing results from the steps taken.

So, as for when we'll be able to ship your backordered purchase, while we would love to give you an estimate, we just can't based on all the information we've outlined above.  Please know that we are doing our absolute best to get you product as quickly as possible and working to resolve these backorder issues.

You are, of course, always welcome to cancel your order at any time and join our waiting list, but we would recommend keeping your order in place to get it as quickly as possible.  That's because we often get batches of product in that are enough to fill many of the outstanding orders, but not to take the product off backorder.  Thanks so much for your patience and understanding.
