Bavarian Soundwerks enclosures are designed exclusively for your BMW. A subwoofer can only sound as good as the enclosure that it resides in. Engineered using a computer controlled CNC router with cuts accurate to the 1/1000th of an inch, BSW enclosures are manufactured from only the finest materials available.

Laminate on the top and bottom surfaces, wrapped in a luxurious black carpet around the sides, and embossed with a custom "BSW" logo, no stone was left unturned in the design of these enclosures. We even went so far as to seal each enclosure with fiberglass resin to ensure an airtight seal. This also eliminates the hard angles inside of the enclosure which cause standing waves,and create unwanted distortion in your music.

• Laminate covered top and bottom, and wrapped in a luxurious black carpet
• Each enclosure has an embossed M logo placed underneath the carpet on the front of the enclosure for a very understated, stealth look.
• Velcro-lined feet, which limit unwanted movement around trunk or hatch.
• Internal volume of .751 cubic feet.
• External diameter of the woofer cutout is 9.29"
• Overall mounting depth of the enclosure is 6.26", including the height of the laminate.

Are the subwoofer and amplifier included with this Subwoofer Enclosure?

No - this is a subwoofer enclosure only for those who wish to use their own amplifier and/or subwoofer. If you need a full system including subwoofer and amplifiers, you can get that, too!

Will the Single 10" Subwoofer Enclosure fit in my 3 Series / M3 Convertible?

No, it won't. Because the isn't wide enough for the 3 Series and M3 Convertibles, this is not a compatible solution. However, we do have three enclosures that will work perfectly: our Single 10" for Cabrio, Single 12", and Ultralight Single 12" enclosures are a perfect fit under your convertible top.

Will the Single 10" Subwoofer Enclosure clear a rear strut tower bar?

While we can't guarantee that the ultralight subwoofer system will clear all rear strut tower braces, it will clear most on the market. If you are unsure of fitment, the easiest thing to do is measure height clearance from the bottom of the rear strut bar to the floor. Our enclosure is 9" tall, so as long as you have at least that much clearance, you'll be just fine

What subwoofers will fit in this enclosure? Will "woofer X" fit in this enclosure?

Because of the huge variety of subwoofers on the marketplace, it would be impossible for us to provide a comprehensive list of compatible subwoofers. However, you can determine whether a given subwoofer will fit based on the mounting depth and hole cutout requirements of your subwoofer. The BSW Single 10" Subwoofer Enclosure maximum mounting depth is 6.1" and the woofer hole cutout size is 9.29" - if the requirements of a given woofer are smaller or equal to these dimensions, the woofer will fit! If not, you'll need to choose another subwoofer.

I'm thinking of buying this enclosure and using my own subwoofer. How will it sound in your enclosure?

All BSW subwoofer enclosures we offer are extremely well built, and will provide some of the best sound possible from your woofer or woofers. However, please keep in mind that every woofer has its own airspace requirement (that is, the internal volume of the subwoofer enclosure in which it plays) as well as ideal enclosure type (sealed, bandpass, etc.).

The Single 10" Enclosure provides .751 cubic feet of airspace. If this closely meets the requirements of your woofer (you can find this information on its spec sheet), it should sound superb. If airspace is a little tight, that's OK too - you might just want to provide the woofer with a bit more power and you'll be OK.
