This BSW Sirius Direct Satellite Radio System is compatible with:

BMW 3 Series / M3's without Navigation: Built 09/02 through 2006 (1999-2002 vehicles are compatible but require this radio upgrade).
BMW 3 Series / M3's with Navigation: Built 09/03 through MY2006

*Compatibility Notes:

The BSW Sirius Direct Kit is compatible with vehicles equipped with a tape deck, but this radio upgrade is required.
For a more cost-effective solution with fewer features, BSW offers a Sirius Connect Kit which is compatible with 1999-2002 vehicles.

Author: Mike Ezratty Im a 100 novice in this, and total install (not counting the NAV issues) was less than 1 hour. I put the antenna under the rear seat-belt cover, so that 1 hour covered removing the rear seats as well. Simple as can be! Thanks!

Author: Robby Gilbert I got my complete sirius radio and was EASILY able to install it in 45 minutes TOTAL. I did not have the tool kit and did not need it. I talked with BSW before purchasing the unit and found that everything I needed was already included. This is the same factory unit your BMW dealer will install and it was cheaper for me here at BSW. Plus, my BMW dealership did NOT have installation instructions and they wanted to charge me 115.00 for the tool kit. I had the unit up and activated in exaclty 1 hour. Thanks to BSW I saved over 100 dollars including the shipping. Great product!!!!

Author: RWP in Santa Monica My 2004 Certified had everything except sirius. The dealer mistakenly told me that Sirius couldn be added, especially with NAV. However BSW took care of me.... I did the install myself and it was a breeze. The only problem I had was accessing the screws to remove the CD changer from the bracket to attach the pass-through cable. However it was well worth it and I love having Sirius run through my NAV although there are only six presets I called BSW a few times for questions and they were always extremely helpful!
